We were blown away by the true Thai culture and the warm Thai hospitality in this tour , first we were met by our guide Mara who took us to see the sunset in this beautiful location that no words can explain! Then we were off to the local village for traditional breakfast cooked while we waited! Amazing food!!! Then we went to the local peer to start our private charter on a traditional Thai fishing boat ! You have to go on this tour to learn the rest... you want be disappointed .
We booked the Private Phang Nga Sunrise Tour for family of 4. Admit a very early start but well worth the early rise. Our tour guide was quick to understand our dietary needs and adjusted as ensure we all had food we liked for the trip. I was very happy to find out the people conducting the tour were locals to the areas we were visiting, even went to there home town for a amazing traditional breakfast and coffee. Had a local fisherman teaching us how to fish the waters he fished growing up. Because we were with the locals for this tour we had the advantage of visiting the hidden gems of the area, the ones not overrun by the flocks of other tours. Not to give away to much of this amazing experience, our lunch was on an amazing beach we had all to ourselves. The staff were friendly and amazing to talk to. Extremely knowledgeable and could make some pretty funny jokes. The day was timed perfectly and even though we did experience some rain and rough weather we were very well looked after and the food was perfect catering to all.
We had a fantastic day on this tour. We were picked up from Rawai which was quite a long way from the boat pier but the journey was made comfortable in a big air conditioned people carrier. We then got on a sheltered boat which took us to four stops. The first two involved being canoed around by a guide which was great for taking photos, the third was James Bond Island and the final was a chance to swim or canoe yourself. Lunch was really tasty, fresh Thai food including grilled fish! Helpful and friendly staff throughout the day. Highly recommend.
For us the best part was the kayaking. We loved squeezing through a tiny tunnel with the kayak to reach a marvellous hidden lagoon. Our guide Bobby gave us many information and was very humorous.
