On the edges of Andaman sea, Kata Beach (หาดกะตะ) is one of the famous beaches on the west coast of the island of Phuket. Divided into two adjacent beaches, Kata Noi and Kata Yai, It's also the most popular surfing place in Phuket. You have the opportunity to take surfing lessons from 1h30 to 22h or to rent surfboard in a privileged place.
2 hr - Once your surfing lessons is scheduled, we will met each other at the beautiful Kata Beach. The instructor will take care of the equipment by choosing the right size for you. We will teach you the basis of the discipline firstly on the sand then at the water. You will be able to stand up for the first lesson! The timing lesson is ideal, 15min for the briefing on the sand then the remaining time at the water catching waves with the coach. We will makes things very easy at first by choosing the right wave for you and giving you the push to go on with the wave. Then we will show you how to take your own wave by paddeling, a very satisfying experience!

I booked a 3-day surf camp with accommodation which was right next to the office. The place is close to the beach, you can reach the surf spot within 10 minutes by walking if you wish but usually you will be picked up with a scooter by someone from the staff. Chully, the instructor, is great! She is strict and funny! She will make sure you have the basics on point! I had great time with her! Manu, the Manager of the Business is a Great guy and always very helpful as are all the other members of the shop! They will also catch good moments of you standing on the board or ride the waves on the camera and send them to you! I can only recommend this 3-day surf camp if you want some good training! Thank you guys for everything!
Joined both surf lesson and racha yai diving experience with SSS, and we loved it! The surfing coach lady was super helpful and encouraging, even the wave was difficult that day but she was very attentive and we felt very safe the whole time. We both managed to stand up! We had a blast and enjoyed it so much that we booked the diving experience right the way for the next day.

I was very surprised to know that they were waves in Phuket, apparently Kata Beach is a top spot. We found SSS Phuket on internet and we did not regret it. Every single person we had to deal with were very nice, from the booking staff to the surf coach. Big up to Julie, she was very patient with us and made us love this sport!
