Learn to cook Thai like a local, so you can impress friends and family back home. A real hands on experience...you will be amazed what you can cook!!! There is no better way to learn Thai cooking once you are in Thailand and taking a thai cooking class. The cooking class at Phuket Thai Cooking by VJ has a cozy and friendly style environment. You are not only watching, but participating in the cooking of traditional Thai dishes. We teach and let you make your own Curry Paste from scratch using Motar and Pestle (No MSG and no buying ready made ones from the market) Also as a part of our cooking, we visit the local market (morning sessions) to learn about local exotic fruits and vegetables. There is always an abundance of new things to see and taste.

Your favourite Thai dishes from scratch

VJ was a really lovely teacher. We learnt how to make Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Green Chicken Curry and Mango Sticky rice all from scratch. I really enjoyed learning how to make my own green curry paste. I also loved visiting the markets and trying new foods I’d never seen before. It’s a worth while experience and worth every cent. Thank you for having me.

Lovely experience

VJ was very friendly and a very easy instructor to follow along. She taught us to cook tom yum soup, pad Thai, curry and mango sticky rice which were all delicious! My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at a cooking class. Thank you, VJ and team!

The best thai cooking class in Phuket

It was amazing from beginning until the end. The tour through the local market, the description of the dishes, the cooking process, communication, everything! An amazing experience, truly a must for Phuket visitors! Even if you don’t cook too often, this is a great opportunity to try top notch thai dishes, which you have made yourself.

Best cooking class period

What a great experience. VJ is a great instructor and the facility is first class. We were picked up on time at our resort and returned afterwards. The market tour was informative. For the actual class, the food prep was fun as was the cooking. We each had our own cooking station and food prep area. The food we made was delicious. Warning - be prepared to eat a lot of delicious food.

A Nice Afternoon

Our family of four (with children ages 7 and 9) recently had a very nice afternoon with VJ and her staff. My wife and I have been to Thailand many times, but this experience was a first for our children. We started with pick up at our hotel and a tour around the local market. We got to taste many things as we walked around, and VJ gave a lot of information about the foods we were seeing. We had a bit of time to look around and make purchases on our own before heading to the kitchen facilities. The set up was fun and community oriented (we were 4 of about 16 in the class). VJ had a staff of people to facilitate the activities, and it all went along well - we were never lost. Our children were very involved with the process, and the staff were really good about helping us to fill in gaps as we did ours and helped our children. In the end, it was really fun and well run. Our children had a good time and a positive experience cooking. The rest of the class was a friendly and interactive bunch, which made the afternoon that much better. I would recommend this for singles, couples, and families.
