This was a mixed feelings day. Picked up, and onto guests which was nice. 15 min drive from old phuket town to east coast docks. Arrived to a not so modern dock with a disorganised car park. 100s of tourists around. Taken to our booking, signed in and welcomed. Yea coffee and snacks. Not enough seating for all guests but no bother.
Staff are amazing. I lovely, funny including sexy Sandy ad Emma. Finn, kind polite and looked after us well. Boa crew were great at their job, not very involved with us otherwise.
Taken to our boat, in groups but herded to docks due to the amount of people. Our group was 30persons.
Made it to the boat, we sat up front and was rear view, breeze and away from main group. Our group wasn’t very talkative or involved. Everyone kept to themselves.
Tour: 40mins to the are, easy, no stress. Usual ride for a speed boat in an ocean.
Stop 1.
Not self kayaking (2per) through caves to an enclosed area. Beautiful landscape view. Ruined by 200ppl in and out like a supermarket. Took away from the peace and beauty. 30mins visit
15min boat to James Bond island. Heard so the hundreds at arrival. Short Elton the actual bond beach area. Restricted water access due to corals. And dozens trying to get pictures. A dozen tucktuck shops selling the usuals. Small walk up and over to the second bit of beach where bond is met by the small guy. Swamped with anchored boats and people on the beach so can’t enjoy it. 1 hour visit.
Gorgeous lttle cave walk through which is fun, and any geology fans will enjoy the rock layout.
20min boat run to a Muslim floating village ina. Lovely region. No alcohol, pork, and vegetarian or halal. You can only sit at the restaurant your taken to, nothing to do or walk around and see. People are nice but you don’t interact. Food was included. Cokes 50thb cans 1 hour here.
20 min drive to cave. Need a phone camera to get lighting up. A torch would be advisable. The group lead has one. It’s missy and it appears idiots and muppets slip and fall and hit their head. Helmets are provided for you. Cave is short but fun, good view at the end of enclosed lake, showing the flood plains. 20mins here.
20min run to beach.
1.5 hour visit to a beach. Run by locals who live on petrol generators, so prices are a BIT up but no stress. They are lovely also. I didn’t enjoy this. The beach was a mess with rubbish from tourists. Boats lined up like a car park.
You can rent jet skis and paddle board. High prices.
You can swim, and snorkel - but there is nothing to see snorkelling, which is where I was let down. There was no coral, and poor viability as your near the boats so they ruin the vision.
Advisory: speed boats go fast - you are in the ocean. You will hit waves and get knocked about. If you get motion sick pop a pill before you leave the hotel and suck it up. You will get splashed on.
There is a risk (only of sea urchins and sharp coral/rock. Where wet shoes. They sell good quality at their shop and very well market advise you to buy them. Brig tori own or buy them.
You will get wet and muddy. Be prepared. You are offered water regularly and limited coke. Nothing else on board, so prepare your own or go without.
Hope your tour has good guests and don’t muck about with being back late etc as this holds it all up.
The let down of this tour is not the companies fault, it’s over tourists influxes and to many companies. I would have gone to the bond beach without bond making it famous. If your going because of this then go, if your not fussed by Bond then don’t bother.
